Carol Ann Haines is a freelance writer living in Southern California. She has been married for 41 years and has two grown sons. She has won awards for her short stories and is currently a contributing writer for San Diego Woman magazine.

Kay Hamilton, raised in Battletown KY, is retired from the Meade County Board of Education. New to the writing craft, but a natural writer, Kay truly enjoys sharing stories, both handed down and her own experiences. Kay and her husband live on a small farm, adjoining the farmland where Kay was raised. They have two grown children, three handsome grandsons and one beautiful granddaughter. When Kay isn't writing or spending time with family, she enjoys the outdoors: gardening, fishing, hiking, bicycling, kayaking and running.
